As the demand for emergency response services continues to rise in the mountains of Grand County, so does the need for modern, efficient facilities to support them. Big Valley Construction is proud to support East Grand Fire District in bringing their new Station 1 to life, an essential headquarters that encompases administrative offices, field personnel, training facilities, and emergency vehicles all under one roof.
Located on a new site just below Winter Park Ski Resort, this project is more than a building, it's a strategic investment in public safety infrastructure. Designed in collaboration with MA Architects and built with the unique climate and logistical needs of mountain communities in mind, the new facility will help improve response capabilities while supporting the long-term growth of the department.

12,000 sq ft new station with six vehicle bays
Co-located Fire + EMS services, enabling integrated emergency operations and enhanced response coordination
Includes seven on-site sleeping rooms, communal living areas, and a shared kitchen to support resident and volunteer staff
